NORA
This guesthouse is a renovated 70-year-old traditional house located along the coast in Uchiura, Numazu City. As an entire house rental accommodating up to four guests, it’s perfect for relaxing with family or friends. Just a 3-minute walk away, you’ll find breathtaking views of Mount Fuji across the sea, and Izu-Mitsu Sea Paradise is also within walking distance, making it ideal for families. Its location is also perfect as a base for swimming, fishing, and exploring Izu.
Exterior
Originally built as a home for a family of five living by the sea, NORA is a two-story wooden house with a tile roof. Rather than undergoing major renovation, it was reborn as a guesthouse, preserving its warmth and comfortable spaces.
The charm of NORA lies in the unpretentious beauty inherent in traditional Japanese houses from the Showa era.
Room
We focused on simplicity and warmth for the kitchen, tableware, washroom, and bath to create a comfortable space that feels just like home. The first floor features a living room, kitchen, and bathroom.
The second floor is the sleeping area. We can prepare up to four sets of futons in the two 6-tatami-mat rooms. Since the rooms are only separated by shoji screens, we recommend this space for families or close friends staying together.
Facilities
The kitchen is equipped with frying pans, pots, and basic seasonings. Nearly everything needed for daily living is available, making it an ideal environment for long-term stays. Parking is located just one minute from the guesthouse.

※ This facility is a 70-year-old traditional Japanese house. Due to its structure, the walls and window glass are thin, making it prone to sound leakage. Therefore, please be especially mindful of noise (such as loud music or loud conversations) after 9:00 PM. As this is a residential area in the countryside, we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a pleasant environment where everyone observes proper etiquette.
※ This facility is an old wooden residence surrounded by nature and the sea, so it is not particularly well insulated. Due to its age, some guests may find it difficult to tolerate the presence of insects. While we make every effort to prevent their appearance, we kindly ask that you understand this is not a concrete or modern-built inn or hotel, but rather an approximately 70-year-old wooden “old residence.”
